Cherry Blossom Tattoo Design
Japanese culture is frequently linked cherry trees in bloom and the Buddhist concept of "mono no aware", which refers to respect for life, death and sadness at the passing welfare issues. This is because the cherry blossoms are visible only for short periods of block before falling to the ground.
This association with mortality is very symbolic in Japan and has been used in traditional art for many centuries with the manga or anime more. However, this relationship could be a tattoo Cherry Blossom inappropriate for some. Alternatively, you can give a new appreciation for the fragility of life and help you get the most from your brief time on earth, while bringing a different perspective on the difficult times that may arise, knowing that it will not last forever.

Celtic Dragon Tattoos Designs
Kate has been planning for a tattoo for a very long time. She was not able to decide on a design for her tattoo. However, she was very specific about the body part, she wanted to get the tattoo made on. One day, when she was browsing the Internet, she came across a rose vine tattoo design made on the ribs. She fell in love with the design and decided to get a rose vine tattoo made.
Blue Red Food Dog Tattoo Sleeve
That's an om symbol at the top of the piece. The basic design is a traditional Japanese half-sleeve. The work is done by Horisei at Chelsea Tattoo Company. Horisei inked my friend Rob's traditional Japanese tattoos (here).
Thanks again to Paul for sharing his work in progress here at Tattoosday. We're looking forward to seeing the final work in 2009!

Rangoli Designs
One such tradition to ward off evil spirits was the drawing of Rangoli's on the floor near the main doorway to the house. Rangoli, a spiritual art form has been widespread all over India. The Hindi name Rangoli, is a joining of two different words - rang and avalli which means a row of colours. Rangoli is one of the most common art forms in India and can also be used on walls, as well as floors as art. Rangoli are also sometimes known as Alpana, Aripana, Madana, Chowkpurana or Kolam.
Most Rangoli are geometrical patterns that include many things such as:
Lines, Dots, Squares, Circles, Triangles, Footprints, Trees, Flowers, Swastikas, Creepers, Leaves, Fish, Conch shell, Lotus, Trident, Spirals and Animals.
These basic Rangoli style designs were all designed by me, but feel free to use them for any non profit uses.
